Final Signoff

Well after much hair pulling and banging of head against wall, I’ve discovered there is in fact no way to make WordPress go back to the old way of displaying images. Instead they’ve got this whole new gallery idea and you can no longer link to a separate page with the attached photos AND have that photo display in full size. Just generally annoying and frustrating.

So after much consideration of my own general blogging apathy, my annoyance at WordPress’s latest changes and the realisation that I’m doing stuff way faster than I can hope to keep up with in this blog, I’m giving up on the wordpress blog. From now on I’ll just start putting my photos and videos on my facebook profile.

Looking back, it has been one hell of a year (and a bit). While I always resolutely promised myself I would live overseas before I was 30, I could never have imagined all the cool stuff I’d get up to in what will in time seem such a short period of my life! Now, due to the immigration laws of the UK changing dramatically (and seemingly without warning) at the end of February, I will be returning to Australia in the next few months. From there who knows what my next move will be. I have some ideas, but nothing is locked in at this stage.

So as my time in Northampton draws to a close, so too does this chapter of my life that this blog was originally created to follow. The last entry to this blog following my snowboarding trip in France basically marks the anniversary of my original departure from Australia, so I see it as a fitting end to my expedition into the darkness. I’m SO looking forward to warmer weather and old friends back in Australia!

Farewell all, see you in facebook land.
